Every year the Museum shuts for the months of December and January during which time the volunteer staff work hard to refresh and refurbish many of the exhibits. This winter will be no exception and amongst the projects scheduled are a complete refit and re-cataloguing of the Museum’s library, the installation of more display boards, an upgrading of the Nicolson exhibit (Nicolson was the only member of RAF Fighter Command to win the VC in WW2), a revise of the RAF Tangmere exhibit and many other smaller projects
The Tangmere Museum has 3 computer-controlled Flight Simulators for visitors to ‘fly’.
