A section of WW2 air raid shelter is being erected at the Museum. This piece is completely original and has been ‘rescued’ from its site on the other side of the old Tangmere airfield. Built from pre-formed metal reinforced concrete sections it gives visitors a chance to see how these shelters and their adjoining blast walls were constructed.
