SOE, an illustrated talk
Tangmere played a pivotal role in the SOE operations during WW2 as the base from which many agents departed on their clandestine missions to occupied Europe. Historian, Martyn Cox, will be organising two days of film presentations and talks about SOE activities and personnel over the weekend of June 6th and 7th. This will include the classic films ‘Odette’, ‘Now it can be Told’ and ‘Carve her name with Pride’, as well as illustrated talks from Michael Buckmaster, Nigel Perrin, Dr Juliette Pattinson and the Museum’s Bill Toozs-Hobson. The films will be shown at the Chichester Cinema at New Park and the Talks will be given at The Studio in Chichester. All activities are in support for Help for Heroes and film timetable details and costs can be found on the Chichester cinema.
