On Friday 4 March a memorial and dedication service to celebrate the life of Ron Robinson was held in the Museum’s memorial garden. Ron, who passed away last December, was a former chairman of the Museum (2001-2002) and a long time editor of the Museum’s magazine ‘Talking Tangmere’.
The service was attended by 25 of his friends and colleagues and was conducted by Rev’d Trevor Marshall, the Museum’s Chaplain. Tributes to Ron were given by David Coxon, Museum Director and close friend of Ron, by Sharon Fewings, Chair of the Chichester Stroke Club (Ron produced the club newsletter) and by Stephen Bennett on behalf of Ron’s friends in the village of Oving.
Ron’s ashes were interred in the garden and after the committal, the short service concluded with prayers and a blessing.
