The Museum has received a cheque for £339.00 from Chichester’s Waitrose store. By way of background, the supermarket chain runs an initiative called ‘Community Matters’ that allocates £1000 a month to each of its branches to distribute amongst local community projects. Following enquiries by Museum volunteer Caroline Byron, we were chosen as one of the three competing charities at the Chichester Waitrose during January 2011. Customers were asked to vote with tokens for the charity of their choice and the outcome was an award of £339.00.
The Tangmere Museum has 3 computer-controlled Flight Simulators for visitors to ‘fly’.
