New Painting For Autumn Exhibition

An exhibition to mark the 75th anniversary of the 1946 World Airspeed Record attempt from RAF Tangmere will be held in the Museum this autumn from 1 September until 30 November.

To support the exhibition Museum volunteer and artist, Jack Froelich, has produced an oil painting showing Group Captain ‘Teddy’ Donaldson looking on as one of the two ‘Star’ Gloster Meteors (EE549) is being prepared in September 1946 at RAF Tangmere for the record attempt.

Entrance to the exhibition will be included in the normal Museum entrance fee.

Talks by Tangmere

The Museum is able to offer speakers to interested groups or societies on a range of subjects connected with the history of operations at RAF Tangmere and other military aviation subjects.
