The popular series of booklets, produced exclusively for the Museum, has now been expanded to 13 with the recent publication of ‘People of Tangmere’. This new publication provides ‘pen pictures’ of thirty of the most famous names who served at RAF Tangmere. Produced by the Curator’s Department, it represents extremely good value at just £2.50 for 32 pages and is available from the Museum’s shop.
A new touch-screen on ‘Bomber Command 1939 – 1945’ has also recently been unveiled. Installed in the Museum’s Tangmere Hall, it tells the story of the RAF’s bombing offensive onGermanyand is a tribute to the 55,000 allied aircrew who lost their lives in this campaign.
