The Museum has commissioned a painting from renowned aviation artist Paul Couper to commemorate the Luftwaffe raid on Tangmere Airfield which took place at the height of the Battle of Britain on August 16th 1940. This will be formally unveiled during Taste of Tangmere day and it is hoped to have some veterans who were present on the day of the raid in attendance.
The Tangmere Museum has 3 computer-controlled Flight Simulators for visitors to ‘fly’.
