In the three months since the Museum re-opened for 2006 visitor numbers have exceeded all previous records for the same period by more than 31%. Curator, Alan Bower, said ‘we are delighted by the continuing increase in our visitor numbers. Informal research amongst visitors to the Museum shows that many of them came on the recommendation of friends – showing both that we have a lot to offer and that the word is getting round! Tangmere Military Aviation Museum is not financially supported by any government, industry or lottery grants and so our visitor revenue is vital to our on-going development.’ The Museum receives many complimentary letters and Emails from people who have visited, and their comments and suggestions form a very valuable contribution to our constant improvement programme. If you have been to the Museum and enjoyed it, please tell your friends and colleagues.
The Tangmere Museum has 3 computer-controlled Flight Simulators for visitors to ‘fly’.
It also has a D-4 Link Trainer which may be flown by suitably-qualified visitors by prior arrangement only. Please click HERE for terms and conditions of use.
