Three weeks after the Museum opened its doors to visitors, following a four month closure due to coronavirus restrictions, the Museum’s popular shop has reopened.
Thirty different items are on sale, many of them exclusive to the Museum. These include a 1/48 scale Airfix model of the Museum’s Hawker Hunter F5 WP190, books on RAF Tangmere and the pilots who flew from this famous airfield and ‘Lysander Pilot’, the memoirs of SOE pick-up pilot Jimmy ‘Mac’ McCairns.
The shop is also selling a new book on Second World War fighter pilot Peter Parrott entitled ‘The Pilot in the Poster’ written and signed by his daughter Rosemary.
With the opening of the shop, the Museum has achieved Phase 2 of the three phased re-opening plan and is open for morning or afternoon visits Monday to Friday (closed Saturday and Sunday). Pre-booking on the Museum’s website is essential
