Museum Events For 2022

The Museum Events Team have announced that the following events will take place in 2022:

‘FALKLANDS AIR WAR 40’ – a temporary exhibition to mark the 40th anniversary of the Falkland’s War will be held at the Museum between 2 April and 31 August. The exhibition will include a ‘Falkland’s Day’ on Sunday 1 May during which the Museum will invite aircrew who participated in the war to join us. Click HERE for full details.

‘TANGMERE MILITARY AVIATION MUSEUM 40’ – a temporary exhibition to mark the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Museum in June 1982 will be held at the Museum between 3 September and the end of November. It will cover the four decades since its opening that has made the Museum one of the best aviation museums in the country. Click HERE for full details

SCALE MODEL SHOW (subject to Covid restrictions and parking availability) – a provisional date of Sunday 7 August has been agreed with our associated scale model partners, Tangmere Sector Modellers, to hold this event

FAMILY DAY – it is hoped to hold this popular event again next year at a date in the summer subject to Covid restrictions and being allowed to use car parking on the airfield presently being used by the Government as a Covid Test Centre. DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED.

Talks by Tangmere

The Museum is able to offer speakers to interested groups or societies on a range of subjects connected with the history of operations at RAF Tangmere and other military aviation subjects.

The Museum car park has been enlarged and re-laid and audio guides provided with the assistance of LEADER – the European Agricultural Fund for Redevelopment.
