Museum 2021 Events Announced

The Museum’s Events Team has decided that due to the uncertainty regarding the Coronavirus situation not to hold in 2021 the annual Scale Model Show, planned for May and the summer Family Day.

However, it was agreed that the postponed ‘Tangmere and the Battle of Britain’ temporary exhibition will be held at the Museum from 1 June until 30 August. This exhibition will be followed by a temporary exhibition from 1 September until 30 November to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the RAF High Speed Flight’s World Airspeed Record attempt from RAF Tangmere in 1946.

It is also planned to hold on the weekend of 4 and 5 September a ‘Gloster Meteor Weekend’ during which, it is hoped, ex Meteor pilots will be able to attend.

Talks by Tangmere

The Museum is able to offer speakers to interested groups or societies on a range of subjects connected with the history of operations at RAF Tangmere and other military aviation subjects.

The Museum car park has been enlarged and re-laid and audio guides provided with the assistance of LEADER – the European Agricultural Fund for Redevelopment.
