March 11th – Open Day plus Volunteer recruitment

March, 2007

March 11th will be Open Day at the Museum. For that day only entry will be free all day so it’s a great opportunity for people to come along and see the many fascinating aircraft and exhibits the Museum has to offer. Bring the whole family, it’s a great day out, but please note that under 16s have to be accompanied by an adult.

It is also an opportunity for people to take a close look at the work done by the Museum Volunteers and see if they would like to consider joining us. We currently have a need for a wide range of skills from Shop Staff, through Electricians, Carpenters, Guides, Researchers and many others. If you live within reach of the Museum, think that you could offer us just a little of your time and would like to be part of a very important force in Military Aviation history do please come along and talk to us.

Talks by Tangmere

The Museum is pleased to be able to offer speakers to interested groups or societies on a range of subjects connected with the history of operations at RAF Tangmere and other military aviation subjects.

The presentations are usually given as an audio/visual presentation using the Museum's equipment. Our presentations can be tailored to suit audiences ranging from specialist societies to community based groups and range in length from 40 to 90 minutes depending on the subject matter.

Further details of the full range of presentations and the availability of speakers can be obtained by calling the museum on 01243 790090, by emailing your interest to director@tangmere-museum.org.uk or by letter marked for the attention of the Director.
