On Sunday May 15th in pleasant weather approximately 400 visitors attended our Family Day Event. The visitors enjoyed various attractions including an exhibition of over 80 paintings done by local children, in the arena area were stalls, a West Sussex Fire and Rescue appliance, military vehicles, a vintage Southdown bus. Visitors, mainly children took the opportunity to sit in the cockpit and have explained the operation of the controls of several of our aircraft. Ten Bomber Command Veterans were on hand to sign books and prints to raise funds for the Bomber Command Memorial.
All our Flight Simulators are closed until further notice
The Tangmere Museum has 3 computer-controlled Flight Simulators for visitors to ‘fly’.

The Museum is able to offer speakers to interested groups or societies on a range of subjects connected with the history of operations at RAF Tangmere and other military aviation subjects.

The Museum car park has been enlarged and re-laid and audio guides provided with the assistance of LEADER – the European Agricultural Fund for Redevelopment.
