A new ‘entrance guardian’ has recently been erected at the Museum. A large Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX model donated some years ago by the late Nick Berryman, a former Museum chairman, has been removed from inside the Merston Hall and placed on steelwork erected near the entrance to the Museum. The project was undertaken by Phil Stokes’ Ferret Scout Car project team and was completed in mid March.
