On Sunday, 21st August, the Bader Braves flying event at Goodwood aerodrome was again supported by the Museum. This event provides young amputees and disabled children and their families the opportunity to have flights around the local area in a range of light aircraft, all thanks to pilots and staff of the Goodwood Aero Club freely giving their time, aircraft and fuel. Two flight simulators set up by the Museum’s volunteers in a small marquee were in constant use from 1015 to 1545hrs. The weather was kind and the effort to help such a worthwhile cause was amply rewarded by the thanks and smiling faces of the youngsters and their families.
The Tangmere Museum has 3 computer-controlled Flight Simulators for visitors to ‘fly’.
It also has a D-4 Link Trainer which may be flown by suitably-qualified visitors by prior arrangement only. Please click HERE for terms and conditions of use.
