The number of visitors during 2012 peaked at 29,572, representing a decrease of 8.3% on last year’s total. We consider this a quite reasonable outcome bearing in mind the continuing economic climate and the fact that when money is short, outings to such attractions as ours are generally the first to suffer.
The Museum is now closed for refit and refurbishment and will re-open again at 10 am on 1st February next. Ever-rising costs mean that we have had to apply a modest increase to admission prices for the 2013 season (the first increase for 3 years) as follows:
Adults – £9.00*
Over 60s – £7.00
Children, 5 to 16 years – £3.00 (under 5s are free)
Family ticket, two adults plus two children – £21.00
*£7 on production of Service ID
