2018 Events Announced

The Museum’s Events Team have decided on the following events programme for next year:

  1. Friday 30 March until Sunday 15 April – ‘RAF and Tangmere Aerodrome 100’, a temporary exhibition to celebrate the formation of the Royal Air Force and the opening of Tangmere aerodrome in 1918.
  2. Saturday 5 May – a Scale Model Show at the Museum, jointly organised with our local scale model club, the Tangmere Sector Modellers. Nine scale model clubs and three trade stands will be exhibiting. Facebook users can click HERE for more information.
  3. Saturday 21 July until Sunday 2 September – ‘Tangmere and the Special Operations Executive (SOE), a temporary exhibition focussing on agents and resistance members who were flown into or out of RAF Tangmere during the Second World War.
  4. Sunday 26 August – ‘Family Day’ fun for all the family with reduced entry prices on the day.

Talks by Tangmere

The Museum is pleased to be able to offer speakers to interested groups or societies on a range of subjects connected with the history of operations at RAF Tangmere and other military aviation subjects.

The presentations are usually given as an audio/visual presentation using the Museum's equipment. Our presentations can be tailored to suit audiences ranging from specialist societies to community based groups and range in length from 40 to 90 minutes depending on the subject matter.
