Billy Drake
A guest of honour at Tangmere 39 was the amazingly sprightly 92 year old Group Captain Billy Drake. He joined the RAF in July 1936 and was posted to No 1 Squadron at Tangmere in 1937 where he flew the Hawker Fury and subsequently the Hawker Hurricane. more...
