Not Just Aircraft

The Battle of Britain class steam locomotive Tangmere visited nearby Bognor Regis station on September 23rd and two of our volunteer staff – both ex WW2 pilots – were on hand to mark its presence. Nick Berryman, who flew Spitfires in and out of Tangmere on many occasions during WW2, and Roy Daines, who flew Gladiators, Hurricanes and Mustangs, are shown here standing alongside the name plate of this fine engine.
