New Booklet

The popular series of booklets, produced exclusively for the Museum by our Education Department, has now been expanded to 12 with the recent publication of ‘Tangmere’s Second World War Fighter Pilots 1940-1943’. This booklet provides ‘pen pictures’ of some of the fighter pilots who fought at RAF Tangmere between 1940 and 1943. Divided into four chapters, the first covers those who served in the Battle of Britain, the second and third chapters those involved in the ‘fight back’ against the enemy in 1941 and 1942, and the last chapter some of the pilots who flew in Tangmere’s Typhoon and Spitfire Wings in 1943.

The 12 booklets, printed locally by Design and Digital Print Centre, Chichester, are extremely good value at just £2.00 and available only from the Museum shop.
