Also present at Tangmere 39 were Duncan Simpson, Museum President and past Hawker Chief Test Pilot, and Peter Twiss, who recaptured the world airspeed record for Britain in 1956 by raising the record from 822 mph to 1132 mph in the Fairy Delta 2 aircraft, thus becoming the first person past the magic 1000 mph figure.

The Museum is able to offer speakers to interested groups or societies on a range of subjects connected with the history of operations at RAF Tangmere and other military aviation subjects.
