On 4 April, forty-seven students and staff of this year’s Higher Command Course at the Joint Services Command and Staff College, Shrivenham visited the Museum as an element of their ‘Staff Ride’ whereby members visit military establishments in the Portsmouth area before embarking on a tour of the D-Day battlefields in Normandy. This is the fourth such visit to the Museum and the Course this year was accompanied by the College’s Commandant, Air Vice Marshal Ray Lock, a former Tornado pilot.

The Tangmere Museum has 3 computer-controlled Flight Simulators for visitors to ‘fly’.
From 01 February 2022 until further notice, face coverings MUST be worn when using the flight simulators. This does not apply to children using the Combat Flight Simulator.

The Museum is able to offer speakers to interested groups or societies on a range of subjects connected with the history of operations at RAF Tangmere and other military aviation subjects.
