Bognor ATC 2351 Squadron attended the Meteor World Speed Record event and among their cadets present was Penelope Menzies who hopes to have a career as an RAF fast jet pilot. Penelope has already received an ATC Scholarship flight training course and has soloed in a Vigilant. At the Squadron annual camp this Summer she was fortunate to have experienced a one hour flight in a Hawk aircraft at RAF Valley. Currently 17 years old Penelope is preparing for university where she hopes to study engineering before entering the RAF. Our picture shows her flying a training aircraft on the Musuem’s flight simulator.
